I think I am using too many fx plug-ins when I'm mixing my tracks. I start with the vocals. I can never get to beat because after I put fx on all my vocals it tends to be jittery and slow. is there a way around this like using the same fx for one vocal track for all. I tried it in FL, Cubase, Acid & Soundforge and it's doing the same thing. I'm using the TRacks plug-ins. Any help will always guide me in the right directions. Thanks

mixdown the vocal track with the fx, then import the audio track and remove the fx from tr racks.

In a nutshell....

that's how I've gottenpass the demo versions of systrus and simsynth...if i liked the sound, i created the peice then exported it to wav..loaded the wav and walahhh...(truly a noob trick) but that is the most common back door trick to solving CPU problems and such!

Yo! I think everyone has the same problems when it comes to using "real-time" plug-ins. It tends to lag your comp's processor. Like the others said, if You use a wave editing app like Wavelab 4.0, Cool Edit Pro, or Sound Forge 7.0, You can mix the track down and then transport it to your sequencing program. There should be a option in your sequencing program that allows you to use the wave editor & when you save it, it'll automatically transport it back to the other program. Just in case your not sure about any other mastering plug-ins..... Waves Diamond Edition Bundle or Waves Gold Bundle 4.0 are really the best plug-in bundles to use when mixin' & masterin'! Hope this helps a little!

... get more RAM.... or use less... there's something floating around the net on how to optimize your comp. for the net...
