im not sure it is that possible, IMO guitar is the only thing a vst has not emulated properly yet...

if you gunna try, then get some overdrive/tube dist. on it, a chorus, reverb, and phatt compression like -10db, 6:1:1 RATIO for eg, low attack and if you playing it fast fast realease as well, and yea pitch bend it instead of changing notes on the keys and sample some frett slide noise layer that over it when you change notes, but it is hard...

i play the guitar btw

wtf??? hahaha! but i see what you're tryna say though. just thought that shit was funny! vst guitars arent that great. why not just try to record your own riffs? i let my pops do it coz that dude is sick. santana, hendrix, and everyone else you can think of he can recreate. the only problem with working with my pops is that he gets carried away WHILE WE'RE RECORDING. i've tried to tell the dude to keep it simple but his answer is always, "well as a guitar player, keeping it simple is just not an option." guess its the same way we feel about our drums.

yup. try throwing anything through Amplitube, turns any signal into hendrix or santana.

Hmmmm, is that a freeware? If not where is that joint at, how much does is run and is it worth it? That's sounds dope though Formant, I might have to cop that myself...

use alot of , velocity, pitch bend and modulation wheel.

that's kinda stupid, but i ALWAYS WONDERS what that modulation wheel does??? it's like i'm playing and i make it goes up and down and it does nothing to the sound, what does it do?

playing real guitar if you composition skills are tight is easy (at least playing basic shit is !!)........ you right your parts on the keyboard and then work them out on the guitar and record that shit !!!..... you don't need incredible technique unless you're doing some full on tremelo or really fast tapping type stuff or crazy bending/sliding and your piano finguring skills will definitely cross over
