The best monitor for the buck?

So one of my tweeters just went out on one of my monitors, well it hums really and when I play music through it crackles and pops. so I'm in the market for new monitors. what's everyone's go-to speaker?
I've been looking at Yamaha hs8 and adam t8v

I've heard good things about the Yamaha HS8. KRK is popular too. I had a pair of Mackie HR monitors which were really good.

I heard JBL 308P MKII are the best in it's price range.
Some say even better than the Yamaha HS8.

What’s your budget? Honestly anything under $500 a pair is Chinese made and all pretty similar.

well, I went with some adam t8v really wanted the adam a8x but a grand a piece right now is much. the t8v were 300 apiece and I hear I'm going to need to get use to the ribbon tweeter. what do you guys think?

You will, but I generally like Adams.

The M-audio is cheaper than both yamaha and krk but to my ears they perform slightly better when making hip hop beats. Yamaha is more suited for rock and such and krk are better for edm and that kind of electronical techno genres.

I really really like our focal cms65's They werent cheap though at £800 each. 8's might be a bit of overkill, depending on the size of your space. If I was to invest in your budget range Id probably go for the Adams myself. Ive seen good things said about the Yamaha HS range too. That said, Id wait a bit longer, save a bit more and go with Focals.
