wassup y´all!?

does anybody know how to sync the mpc up to pro tools free?
can pro tools free generate midi time code(mtc)?

it might be hard if you dont have many inputs on your computer. assuming that because you have pro tools free you arent running pro tools hardware. but if you run stereo out of your mpc then it would probably work. as for midi i dont use it much. from mpc i would record each loop from each pad and set up the grid on pro tools to match the bpm trim each loop and use the duplicate multiply and loop each piece on each track within the pro tools grid.

yo man, thanx for the tip!
i try what you told me, but it´s gonna be a lotta
work to record each loop and rearrange it.
my thougt was to tell pro tools to start recording
at a defined timecode and per midi pro tools should
start my sequencer at a defined timecode.
if it would work this way i could record track by track
with only one stereo input and also had a multitrack
recording! whatever, i try!

thanx...PEAzE

You really don't need to use the MTC just use midi....output from your midi card to input of mpc, set up protools to use the soft thru and I am not sure about the other settings but I use the countin with conductor icon on the transport, set the mpc to use midi....I do this all of the time because I don't have the 8 output for the mpc....
