whoa thanks for the support everyopne. tis really encouraging. I only have like 25 days to put together a tight 30 min set. I think i will be playing my shit for about 15 mins and spinning tracks from my crate for 15 mins but not sure. Obviously i dont have my beats cut to wax so i either have to learn cd mixers (god forbid) or pre mix my tracks on the computer. anyone got some brilliant ideas on what i could do that i havnt thought of yet? im a little nervous. i know its gonna be good no matter what happens but just want to make the most of the opportunity and kill it for peeps.

Fade: Yep. I will definitly be posting pics. Not sure about video yet. Will have to see.

Dig D: Thanks for the nice words bro. Im not soing the whole tour. Just this one gig, which is in my town.

Merc: I will be playing and scratching over our track!!!!!! siiiiiiick.

Great News yo! Best of luck! :thumb:

I think that playing from CD and then moving to the turntables is the better solution

GOOD LUCK.

Hey look man let me tell you what I would do....now some of you might kill me but for something like this I would get a good laptop with nice sound card system......maybe a mac and mbox....there is this program I love, I don't use it much for any of my beats or DJing but I read a lot of articles on DJ's using just their laptop and the program....its called traktor DJ Studio by Native Instruments....I had the first version and did a lot of work here for myself and you can use it live just like 2 turntables....or you can pre-mix everything and then export your mix to a wave file if you want in other words pre record your set and mixing....if you want to impress someone like if you were a DJ i suggest this program.....and if you are nervous about doing live I highly suggest you get your hands on it and just use it on your PC and then take your regular beats and just create a 15 to 20 minute mix of your beats and have a dope ass intro....THATS what I would do if it were me....that way you don't really have do anything DJ like the night of the show....the program is very dope man....cop it you will not go wrong it might take you a few days but you will get the hang you can mix like shidd on this program.........bottom line doing it like this will save you the headache of buying tables and learning how to DJ and you can get everything perfectly mixed and faded and then record it to cd and boom you look like a pro....just put the headphones on and Roc with the crowd and have fun with your moment of fame....you never know you might get to do more if you come out with something that moves the crowd......something catchy and non-stop head bobbin what I would shoot for...not too much mellow shidd....Trust me.....

so ur spinning?? don't use any software....that's wack....

play live from ur tables and some CD decks....I DJ on both, and its not a huge difference despite what many epople say. As long as you can learn the basic functions of the cd decks suck as cueing up tracks, and any other feature you might what to use, its easy.....can u beatmatch?? (I hope so) then ur fine....works just like a real turntable....u have nothin to worry about

I've played lots of clubs and shit, and I always play CD and vinyl now....whatever i dont have on vinyl, i use cd's....should be a great night 4 u! have fun...
