Snare/Kick Techniques

Just wondering does anyone know how to make this kind of kicks/snares? Is it done by eq-ing?

It sounds like a mix of drum sample choices and cutting out the high frequencies of those samples to give it that "soft" texture.

it all depends on the sample he used, like @Koey mentioned.

It is possible to get the same effect through EQing alone but you might want to try to transpose your samples as well, pitch your kicks lower and your snares higher. As well as playing with the ADSR of those samples. hope that helps.

sounds like he's degraded the sample rate.. use plugs like lofi or anything really like that, bitcrusher etc .. peace

With the kick, it sounds like all the high frequencies have been cut
With the snare, it sounds the opposite, all the lows have been cut,and everything running thru Lo-fi plugins

Look like she's using sidechain compression and having the kick trigger the the cut frequency of the sample.

Yes, this can be done several ways

EQ-ing a source, increasing it's attack (if needed) or synthesizing it.. What you do depends on what the source sound is.

Yeah I would say it sounds like she used some light side chain compression. Maybe even on a multi-band compressor in the low mids.
