@Rah.sool what’s good! This is clean, the drums are clean and that bassline is lit. My favorite element is the chord progression that drops around 1:12 really gives it a nice change up and touch. Mix is clean too.

@Rah.sool This is really nice! Clean mix, plenty going on, bassline is great and I enjoyed the intro. I think it works well and the flow into the verse is seamless. Nice one!

@Sole Element Of the 2 I prefer the remix but I think the acapella is off beat? I like the drums and the instrumentation works well with it. I actually think It's Gonna Last is very good but the mix isn't great and it kills the vibe for me. It feels like you've went for a smooth / chill vibe but the drums too loud and as it a few of instruments in places. Very sharp / cutting. When it hit the 2:55 mark that synth near blew my ears off! But yea, I think if this is mixed better it could sound brilliant.

@hosie thanks for feedback!! I checked the vocals out they are on from what I hear. I will check the beat out I probably got carried away on that synth lol just wanted to make sure it could be heard. The drums I probably overthought the volume cause I really wanted them to stick out, I will make adjustments I don’t want to blow no ones eardrums out

@Sole Element Thanks for the feedback bro!

Patiently Waiting - I enjoyed this one. I feel like the sound selection is pretty similar to the sounds of early 2000's hip hop scene. However, I feel like some of the sounds are a little bit flat. Perhaps you're using free vsts, I think if you used high quality it would really take this instrumental to the next level.

It's Gonna last - Dude I really liked this. Great ideas and awesome melodies. However, I think there are some mixing issues. That sawtooth bass is a little bit unsettling and some of the sounds don't quite meld in my opinion. But the melodies and chords are really great.

Awesome job on both brother.

@hosie Thank you for the feedback bro

@Rah.sool This is really dope, the mix sounds on point. Intro sounds good and I really like the change at 1:12. Great work.

@Sole Element Patiently Waiting. Those strings dont sound very authentic, some reverb might make them sound a bit better, but they arent the best orchestral sounds. Check out BBC Symphony Orchestra, there is a free one and it sounds very good, I use it all the time. Id also consider layering a sub that enhances the kick sometimes, an 808 would sound good. There also isnt much variation in the beat IMO. Would like to hear a drum fill now and again.
Its Gonna Last. This is some nice composition, with much more variation, as an instrumental it carries itself nicely. I feel once again that some of the sounds sound very stock sounding, working with stock sounds is a great way to improve your mixing skills, because you really have to work with eq, reverb and delays and panning to make them work. I feel this could use a little work on the panning, almost everything seems to be centered. Id also add some reverb on some of the instruments just to make them sound less stock sounding.

Heres a couple from me, havent made much this week.

This is hot off the presses..

The last beat I listened to from you was your first ever "drill beat that sounds like a drill beat." I can hear the improvements you've made since then!

Really like how well-balanced the track is. The hi-hat is really creative for drill but still unmistakably drill.
One thing I noticed is that the 808 is far coyer than on most drill beats I hear. I think it's usually used to add some punch to the base frequencies.
Again, really like how creative this is for drill. Something like this would be perfect for a rapper that wants to be drill-like but different from most current drill.
