@DEEZ BEATZ : This track was really dope, I can’t tell if it was sampled or all originally composed but it sounds good and is mixed well with the 808s. Great job

@Marc Duncan :

Hope- I thought the beat overall was dope, the keys seemed to be a little loud

Faith: I like the beat. I thought something could replace the vibes that could fit more with the rest of the beat. I didn’t really get a Kendrick vibe on this but it was still dope.

@O'neil : Dope sample, and I like the percussion and bassline. I thought the toms could be more full like have more reverb or delay, but I’m just trying to be constructive with that suggestion because I don’t want to be too generic. Overall I liked it.

Here are my beats:

@Edgar I like the bassline, the harp or guitar sound is dope too. It fits well with Bi's flow. Good job on this

@Joe : I like the funky Zapp band inspired, West coast inspired sound. It sounds like it was mixed pretty loud, but other than that, it sounds great. Good work

@Chad both beats digging the piano transitions. Battlefield dope boom bap drums. Night digging the little synth u got there was waiting for the double on the drums after the first boom bap boom bap boom bap bap bap bap bap bap. Felt the chop up wouldve brought it out more. Overall nicely put together.

@Edgar piano in this biggie remix was dope like how transitioned the different sounds

I started making beats about 3 months ago using a cracked version of FL Studio, and eventually a week ago I bought the full version because I realized that I was using the software everyday and enjoyed making music.

Anyways, I am self-taught, I looked up tutorials on youtube, learned basic mixing and mastering, learned a little bit about music theory like chords and progressions, and began introducing it into my music. I realized my sound had changed dramatically after that.

The only thing that I haven't received was actual feedback since no one I know seems to want to listen to my music, so I have no way of knowing what I can add, what I can learn, or what I can change.

I loaded 3 tracks from my soundcloud. I would like critical, honest feedback from anyone. Tell me if it sucks, tell me if it's good, tell me what I should improve on, etc. I want to keep pursuing this music thing, and see where it takes me, even though it's just a hobby.

Thanks!

@Collapse , I Like All Three Tracks. your mix on these tracks are great so you are spot on with your mixing skills. track # 5, i like it but it seems like the 808 bass should be tuned more. the track sounds to me to be in the key of F# or C...Not sure exactly. but if you tuned your bass to the key of the melody it would sound more structured. But overall your sound is really cool, like "AMBIENT TRAP". At Least that's what i would call it..lol. GREAT WORK HOMIE...KEEP BANGIN'

This track is sick! This is what I want to do, dark beats. I feel like my style is about the same as yours. The fading and distortion effects make the song incredible.

@Collapse ,thanks bruh. but that is one of many styles that i do, i pretty much create what is inspiring to me at that time...but yes i do like the dark sinister stuff

@Collapse my dude i like the dark piano sounds on collapse 5 i do think drums need a tad more volume. When that Synth comes in it just overpowers too loud. Try adding a bassline too next to those drums.

Collapse 4 another dark piano just to me missing a baseline also other then that drums and piano tie in well together

Collapse 6 i like man you blended the synths real well the beat sounded more alive i also like the little break you had in it.

@Joe I wasn't feeling your beat until the guitar came in. If you'd add something to the section with lead only the beat would be 100% fire. I am thinking of some percussion or simple clave playing some polymetric stuff. Nice work nonetheless, the tone you achieved with the guitar is amazing.

@Collapse (5) I feel the vibe you're going for but I feel there are few things that could be improved. Piano would definitely benefit from some alteration of velocity and quantization, it sounds too rigid. Adding some trippy effects would make the beat shine. Lastly, making the kick thumpier would be dope, now it's too weak for my taste. Really good work for 3 months though.

If you've got a while feel free to check my stuff
