I listened to the beat yesterday night and today again. It doesn't feel like hip hop to me which is okay. But I can't think of someone rapping on this beat. I like the dissonance and also the section starting around 0:43 to change up things. But than the beat runs through and the melody and drum pattern get kind of repetitive and like @hosie mentioned some kicks stand out like a sore thumb. I would also take out some snares and kicks just to spice it up a little or implement new elements up to you.Damn dreamy beat dunno you name it. Check it.

I agree with allot of points you just said. For me Moonshine felt like cliche or something but from time to time it would catch my attention it was an old project one i left behind without returning. Synth and roaches is a long beat. I actually wanted to make a mash -up of different intro's but didnt really work out on this one. Im digging into my project folder too see which projects are still there with being unfinished. Thanks for your advice guys ill try to definetly spice it up the next time.Hey @TjombaBeats . I couldn't get into Muneshine unfortunately. It felt a bit tired and uninspiring. Like it's been done a million times before. One of the kicks is off-beat too which throws the listener.
I enjoyed Synths & Roaches though. Not sure anyone would listen to the full 7 minutes though - there's not enough going on to really keep your attention. I'd suggest cutting it down to 2:30 and getting all the instrumentation/synths in quicker / keeping it interesting. The drums and percussion really carry the beat well and create a nice tension for the synths to cut in and out of. I would have liked perhaps a second layer or different / heavier drums to come in at some point. It actually feels like you're gearing up for heavier drums to hit but they never do. Nice one. Hosie
Nice idea with getting feedback on unfinished projects - might do that myself. I'd say there's legs in the Synths & Roaches but definitely cut down and I like the idea of the mash-up. I think the different / heavier drums at some point would be a nice addition.I agree with allot of points you just said. I thought my beat was finished until I posted it here two weeks ago. Turned out it wasn't. The feedback was a great help to revisit it and change stuff.Nice idea with getting feedback on unfinished projects - might do that myself. Thanks for feedback and I'm glad you like it I got maybe two of them. The first one ever was for remixing "Happier" by Ed Sheeran (which is kinda obvious considering his position in pop culture) and the second one was that for Scorpions. Surprisingly enough, i have never received a copyright claim for uploading sampled beat even if I used some part of the song unchanged (let's say 25 seconds or something). These algorithms are weird.@memento Ive only ever had one copyright strike in all my years, and that was an "Elenor Rigby" flip I did. You have really modernized this, good work. Has a great europop/house vibe .

I turned Cameo's Word Up into a UK garage track...
Surprised I havent had a strike, its literally the whole of the original sped up with composing over the top
thanksI was checking it out. I like the composition you put over it. Nice spin!
Enjoy yall!
I appreciate the feedback and definitely can value it. That's crazy because I been working on giving better mixes for my beats. Also I wanted to use that type of drum pattern to change the routine of how I normally make beats. Again, thank you for checking it out fam.I like the mix here and sound of samples you used and drums. I'm not a fan of the rhythm played by kick but I'm fond of its sound. I would add hihats maybe and I would change that rhythm of a kick. But these are just two cents from me. Overall, it's decent.
