i used only my maschine mikro, drum kits and some fx )thanks! yeah maybe your right...ill try and change some of it soon enough and might post it again..
i like this, it has that pre golden era vibe, i especially like how your drums sound...what did you use for this beat? is it an mpc?
Another flip I did.Kind of a tribute to the pornos of the past haha!Been making these in Ableton then either bouncing to a cassette and back in for mastering or using an effect in Reason that makes stuff sound like a cassette or vhs or vinyl and then mastering in Ableton.Honestly I like the way the Reason effect sounds over the 4track.It gives the faded sound but still clean..... or something like that...
Thanks man!Yeah the white noise is from a cassette tape...I was going for a lofi type sound(love me some grimy sounds). The sample at the end is actually stretched a little weird by mistake haha!I finished the beat and noticed it and was like oh wellHave to be more careful next time!very good oldschool beat man ! ) the only thing i don't like is the white noise in the background and i like the sample at the end ( is it streched ?)
This really progresses nicely.I like how you add just enough elements in to keep me interested but dont change everything up too much to lose the groove it has.Good stuff. Also did you use any samples or is this all synths or both?I always have a hard time mixing the two haha

i'm using 1.8thanks...all are samples.. just tweaked a bit. its amazing what a software can do, but if i was doing this full time? i would do it all in mpc's
sounds really great...which version are you using?
Heres a hip hop-ish Lorde remix I did as well..mainly looking for arrangement tips(this is only my second remix)and I know this site is mostly for beats or whatever but the producers I've encountered on here seem really knowledgable and I value everyones opinion on this site so any advice will help for my future work.
What do you guys think of this track
