I love sampling from classic vinyl ,too. BUT I do use sample CDs. They have their purpose. I use them mainly for the foundation of my production. I will admit there are some wack ass sample CD's on the market just re-hashing what they put out the last time. Sometimes you get a good one here and there.

sample cd's are too clean sometimes you want that grimey feel on your drums. there are times when you sample and times that you need those clean processed drums

Wax is where it's at. Primo didn't sample cd's. Pete rock didn't either.
All you need is a stack of wax and if you got the right funk joints you can find the best drums in the world.

YOU RIGHT BUT THE FOCUS OF THIS DEBATE HAS BEEN DRUMS.
I WOULDNT EVEN ASSOCIATE WIT SOMEBODY WHO GOT A WHOLE MELODY LOOP OFF A SAMPLE DISK, IF UGOT IT THEN 500 MILLION OTHER PEOPLE GOT IT.
