Sampling into Reason

Is it possible to sample from a turntable directly into Reason?

nope, but you can use a sound editing softwares like, cool edit, sound forge etc. to record the sounds from your turntables and then save the wav file so you can use them in Reason.

Better yet, if you have recycle, you can chop up yoour samples. But directly into Reason, that would be a big fat no.

I agree....if you put Recycle in your life....chopping is cake.

You can't even do constructive audio editing in Reason. It doesn't handle audio files in the same manner as Cubase or Pro Tools. It's based on Midi theories and practices which limits it in my opinion.

But the good thing is, you can rewire Reason to use with other software.

i will agree that rewire seems to make up for the lack of editing ability. this way, if you have protools, you can edit your piece further. this is what i do anyway. in
