aight its like this.. been tryin to break this whole beat makin thing.. all i gotz is an mpc 1k a turntable and some of the dopest records outta this side of the world..
i don't have a computer but i can get access to one... public library.. (don't laugh) it ain't even got a cd player tho..
are we as producers limited to the samples we use... aight check its like this i copped this dope sample..

nothing special jus tryin to learn here..
i made some drums to try and put em to this sample.. but they is at 90BPM.. but they sound to slow to go wit this sample...
1.. how i find the EXACT tempo of THAT sample above.....
2. from searches on here it seems liek if i find the tempo of it, i can change it to whatever tempo i want, (time compress?)... but that'll slow the sample down and make it useless...say i slow it down to 90bpm?
3. how do i make these samples fit in the mpc... aka sample is bout 26 seconds long.. so i tried countin it out in bars came out wit like 9 and 2 beats?...but on the mpc i can only make bars either 9 or 10.. not in between so the loop is all off..
4. if i sample something, am i LIMITED to makin the beat at whatever the tempo of the sample is? ex. if i sample a 4 bar tune wit tempo of 148, i have to make a beat wit temp of 148 right? but aint' hip hop 80-95BPM.. it seems it might be too fast. ...
i saw this video by some dude called Dub J, he was talkin bout art of time stretchin which seems is what i may be tryin to get at... he was talkin bout he stretched his sample tempo to match that of his percussion(drums) wit soundforeg or some ish to make his orginal sample which was way to fash match his drums... is that what i'm tryin to do here?
hope this ish makes sense..
help a young IGNORANT a$$ punk out....
knowledge me... school me..
peace
