i got to disagree here... sampletank2, for one, DOES allow other formats- akai s1000/3000, samplecell, .wav, aiff, and another (i think). 2- the effects are excellent. the wah isnt the best and there are better reverbs, but you really get, OVERALL, awesome effects- 4 per channel plus a compressor. you cant go wrong there. i have loaded my own .wavs from cubase and completely altered the nature of the sample and layered it over the original for some dope results..... you can do a grip with this, that other samplers cant do- .especially with the price tagthe price tag- 400 bucks for something that is better then the proteus 2000 and a decent alternative to the motifs and tritons of the world. registration is a bit of a pain, i will admit...... but well worth it n.u.g, if you are considering getting this, hit me up.
