joint is smaller than a regular size laptop man that's major to me
fit on my lap smooth, would fit on the tray table on an airplane very easily

yeah man, I would have gotten video/pics that night but we were gonna hook up on saturday...but we didn't end up doing so, that's why I only got one pic on Friday night

hahaha, yeah fam! my laptop died at the airport son! lol...I had to go find a power outlet!

but this joint is going to be a nice product, very well built and quick on the workflow. I have to spend more time with it to test out the sample editing and such, but they have some huge plans for it. My main way of using it will be to drag all my sounds onto an sd card and just have them with me...moreso than sampling into it, but I still want to see how it works.

I have tons of loops and riffs and custom samples that I'd be slicing and such, I think with the knobs, adjusting start/end points and copying sounds to various pads would be smooth...but I know they are also planning on adding autochop and timestretch...I don't know if it will ship with those or if it will be an update.

but the joint is real...they was walking around the namm show with it lol...I didn't see them though I had some other things going on.

Can the Beat Thang hang with the Maschine?

its funny how these 2 machines are bein compare throughout the internet... the Beat Thang, as far as i know based on all the info bein thrown around, doesnt require computer assistance... its a standalone machine.

I get that question all the time, but to me they are totally different. I guess it's common because they both are "beat machines"

one is software and requires the computer, one can work on it's own without a computer.

I don't think it can hand with Maschine in terms of how Maschine can access all the sounds on my computer, or that I don't have to worry about ram or anything. Of course since maschine is based on your computer, you'll be able to add more fx most likely.

but I can't just take maschine with me, without having my laptop, that's huge to me. Especially since beat thang runs on a rechargeable battery, which from what I've seen so far, has a pretty long life per charge.
