How about putting these "possessed" people on Zyprexa or a ruthless anti-psychotic and calling it a day?
Relic:
Why do you believe in demons? Like, how are they real? How are they not a figment of a psychosis or some shit?
I know we don't understand supernatural things, and accept this. I'm just curious why people believe this? Has it happened to you or an acquaintance?
I think that would make for an even more interesting thread.
i the past i had been agnostic/athiest because it makes the most logical sense to me. I can fathom evolution and the Billion of years earth has been viable to begin life.
the idea of my spirituality comes from my conscious. It, like most all religion, is about good vs. bad. Since I began to strickly follow my conscious, to the good, there have been many things open to me that have brought me a peace that I have never known before.. true happiness.
Although, this is also logical and could be explained by the agnostic/atheist is logical terms.
good creates good, bad creates bad.. good is sustainable and bad is not.. the most simple of concepts that even your pets understand good vs bad.
My spirituality is based on the fact that I do not know anything for certain. I do not know there is or there is not. I do not know this keyboard is real because if I am in the matrix then it is just 1's and 0's.
My spirituality is also based on the fact that there are things much smaller and much bigger to us in our unknown Reality and Universe. I also feel that good vs bad is (building vs destroying) is in the realms of unknown Reality and Universe so it does make logical sense that some of the religious texts and mentions of mystical good and bad creatures are real.
Have I expeerienced some of the supernatural things that some of the people here have? no. When I was a child I remeber hearing someone peeing in the toilet and as I walked by the peeing stopped and door was open and no one was i there. But I was very young and I am not 100% sure of the memory because it is very distant.
I think there are many bad qualities and ignorance and pride are one of them and go hand-in-hand together. To say one knows the truth for everything, going spiritual or non-spiritual, is being ignorant and prideful. To feel comfortable in your own truth, which will change constantly over your life, is perfectly fine (free of iggnorace and pride).. but to preach it so that others should follow it is iggnorant and prideful.. there is a careful distinction there.
