yea i saw the user video and the sampling is off the chain u don't have to chop them up it does it for u and then u can tweak the sounds u can mix and master every thing also u can hook a mic up to it. i think this is there shot at the mpc-4000 but the mv is off the chain tho

yo, i been looking at this mv-8000 for a minute now, this shit looks too good to be true.....does anyone have some solid review of the product, besides the shit at rolads website?

damnnnn........i jsut seen the demo video for this bitch...now either that cat is a smurf, or that thing is huge

yea if they do a comparasion of both machines that would be raw, u can also hook a monitor up to it and a mouse so u can have more control over the machine, its to good to be tru

I watched the videos from the roland site a while back and it does look like a keen machine but the controls ( and the handspeed the instructor needs to manouvre over the machine ) spell RSI to me hehe. But I wouldn't mind coppin one, it does what they say it does and the monitor/mouse makes it quite handy in a studio. In this field of workstations I think this one comes next to the mpc4k, almost better I'd think. For live shit I'd still work the mpc since it's basic and a wee bit more portable ( and Im not using the intern. sampler but a racked one ).

That's true, but I've seen the same thing happening with the amount of producers/beatcreators during the last 10 years. That's technology for you sir, your comment dates a decade hehe. Entry levels drop in order to gain more sales, this is key @ the Roland Corporation, Japanese trademark in general. Consider it like this; It's "easy" for anyone to make beats on a MV8000, lookin' at this from an experienced producer/beatcreator being used to choppin' his slices manualy. Now go back to the 1980, LM-1 came out, the first sample based programmable drumcomputer. Guess what some drummers said back then ...

Technology is ez, the rest is up to you. The machine is exceptional, that's not always the case for what the user's creativity concerns...

Just dont blame it on the machine

all they're doin is makin it easier to put you're idea down...i kno for me if it takes forever to figure out how to put an idea into a beat then i start to lose inspiration and the desire to finished dat beat. with the mv-8000 it just makes it faster to put in wut you want done.

why work hard if you don't have to..

I didnt think about it that way. Now im feelin all bad and shit for the drummers.

Built-in Color Monitor? what model is this? the two i played with at G. Center and S. Ash had a grey scale moniter. And was hard as hell to use, i played with the one at S. Ash for about a hour, i even asked for the manual. still coundnt figure it out.I belive there lying about being able to load your mpc disk, i couldnt even load a Prog. file nor Seq. I had a hard enought time loading the sample. i guess after playing with it a little more ill figure all of these things out, and the auto chop isnt anything special, same shit you can do with CEP. Stick with a 2000 and up. get a computer and protools, thats the way to go in my opinion.

yea the machine looks hard and on the video the guy makes it seems so easy he was like hit this button and u get this, hit this u get that but it is still raw and all in one machine, it comes with is own drums, bass patches and piano and string patches and u can still sample off records now thats what i call a machine but i would probley wait to get this untill i am realy sure i want to dedicate my life to be an aspiring producer/ singer.

just my 2 cents
