im in university studying audio engineering at the moment, my uni is a general one so theres no point in giving you there website as there is no info on there for my course, the best place to look on the web for an audio enginerring college would be fullsail ( fullsail.com i think) and SAE ( SAE.com i think lol ) i know theres members on this site that have acutally attended both so maybe they will reply when they see this !
income range depends entirely on how good they are and what they are doing its pretty impossible to answer that one i mean joe bloggs making a radio jingle compared to the neptunes making the next number 1 hit is a world apart.
dress code is non existant really within the field, ive never experienced it and have never heard of it so id skip that chapter lol
duties, again it depends on the job and if you are talking about producers or engineers, they can range from engineering the session to actually arranging studio time to managing recording budgets for artist etc there so much it would be worth looking for a book on the subject to fully answer your questions, employment opportunities, obviously its a specialist field so its not like mcdonalds where you can walk into a job anywhere but its also not quite as bad as some people would have you think, theres a wide of rnage of work available, from engineering sessions, making jingles, work for TV and radio its not just being the neptunes or producing for the rolling stones you can make a lot of money and no-one outside the industry know you !
