it would be different from the beat this/battle that, cuz its 1 on 1, obviously it is far better to win beat this cuz you have to win three battles to win, that in itselfs makes the comps more prestigious.

also random battles wouldnt just pop up. becasue ppl want the battles to be respectable and to give them more exposure, therefore just starting a thread in the lounge for example, and saying rate us isnt respectable. getting a mod to open up a section in the showcase/new battle section, with a poll (something none of us ordinary members cannot do, and the place most guests will visit (vis a vis more exposure), is the best way to go about this. Then random battles cant pop up cuz they (the battles) have to approved by a member of staff, therefore it would still be a highly regulated part of the site.

also remember i also proposed emcee audio battles, any opinions on these?

I voted yes on the principle, but...

Some people have really big egos and some others could go buckwild insulting and challenging everybody... this COULD get real crazy.

And also, I think 50 posts is not enough to go in a personal beatbattle. Only Really ACTIVE members should be allowed to join in (something like 100 or 150 or something...)

I wouldnt want someone coming in here, posting for the sole purpose of challenging everyone... that would kill the whole thing right there.

but remember syg, fade is wise to those ppl, you can tel when ppl are just trying to bump up their post count....

I say 150 legitimate posts. And if Fade or whoever happens to catch you just trying to bump up your post count, then you keep adding 50 posts to that particular person for infractions. (As in if they're just throwing random posts, it goes to 200 for them, 250, 300, etc.)

If this did go ahead would it be possible to hide the section from visitors that werent registered?? To the point that they had no idea it was there, then combine that with the bigger post limit etc

It'll help people elevate a lot more cuz it's just like emcee battle or graphics battle. I used to do a whole bunch of those and through those battles I got a lot better at what I did. And if you guys plan on doing it then I think we should make some type of voting system for the battles so we know what to improve on. It could have categories like Mixing, Drums, etc. Just dropping ideas. Feed off it.

I like this idea, but it should only be used to resolve beefs. Outside of beefs it could get way out-of-hand, seen? Alots of dudes on the board be drinkin' that hateration, especially when you don't give them "positive feedback" about one of their "showcase" tracks. So, this would be a way to get at these sensitive ass bustas and put 'em on blast!

Personally I think this is opening up a can of worms,,feel me? Cats argue on the daily as it is,,,I mean a beat battle with some members who respect eachother is cool, but all it would take is that one battle and it blows up from there. I think the one on one battle has always been an ice breaker here at the ill. Leave it for fuedin members.
