Right now I have the EMU 1212m, but the PatchMix that is used to program it is frustrating and for me, hard to use. The quality is nice, but it's complicated. Any recommendations for a new soundcard that's easy to use and also has good quality?

I also have the EMU soundcard. I don't even use the Patchmix program I just let it load up and leave it alone. I don't think you have to use the patchmix software anyways. I never do. I just use cubase and soundforge.

I have the emu 0404 which i believe is lesser but this is a good card. The patch mix sofware is deff somethin 2 get used to. Once you do get used to it. try using the built in efx with your sequencer... they're tight. there should b a built in preset for cubase to. I just set it to that and left it 4 a few months. by the wat thd is really low on these emu cards.
