reason 5???

well so far I'm liking the new reason5
as for the dr octo! shame on them!
yes you can play multiple Rex files
but...... the edit slice mode!? only thing missing
is ware is the start slice point like the nnxt
has! if i don't get the sample chop on point
then at least in the nnxt u can select the chop
and be able to adjust the start point
on each individual chop! let's face we are not all perfect
and I rather control my chops then have multiple Rex files!
playing at the same time! and u can also sample
in the nnxt! so far I'm not feeling the new dr octo
rather have start and end control on each chops!

Thats what recycle is for. And if you can do it in NNXT why not?

i have recycle but lets just say one of ya chops isn't starting at the point it should what u gonna do?
re-open the recycle and do all the chop all over?

not in the nnxt
at least in the nnxt u can mess with the start point and the edn points of each individual chop you dig me

Why not use Kong?

true but i use the kong for my drums haven't really toyed with it with samples

i a nnxt fan just thought being able to load multiple rex would be nice and to have full control
the dr octo isn't that bad though! just like the control i have with the nnxt on every chop
much respect gonna try out the kong

I was thinking about your problem and if you play with the ADSR setting in octo rex you could probably come close to what you want to do, but it would still be a little wonky. Other than that IDK

but my main thing is to be able to adjust the start and end point of every chop like i usually do in the nnxt
weather its a rex file or just a wave
i have to have full control of my chop just like i use to on my mpc!lol
but thanx a lot i am still happy with reason5

does any one have a solution to make this work?
i happen to have reason 5 but and im using a usb mixer
my adobe program pics up my recording
but im trying to find a way to sample in reason5 since the option is there it would be nice to know how
i get no input and i routed everything the way it says but still no input is it my usb mixer? im lost!

Is the USB mixer your only sound device?

yeah besides the one that came with the labtop!
but the usb mixer has line inputs and out puts as well

In Reason 5 is it set to the ASIO drivers for that mixer?
