reason 5 floating point error

word up fam, been a while ... i have this problem whenever i install a programme that updates or reinstalls microsoft c++ i get a "floating point" error when trying to start reason 5.... funny thing it's comes after a day or so lol .... anyone have this same problem or know how to fix it ...

This happens on every program or just Reason? What version of windows? What kind of hardware?

no its just reason, if i install, tracks 3, waves 7 mercury bundle, cakewalk sonar, or any other programme that modifies or updates ms c++ it happens ... all other apps work fine .. just reason. its a s/ware problem coz it happened on my old pc and now i have a different machine but still getting the same error ..

is the reason legit? Ive never had this problem, but then I dont use T-Racks or Sonar.
Ive had c++ issues in the past, there are so many versions of the c++ runtimes.
Only had the problem with games though, not music.

Have you updated Reason to the newest version?

sorry for the late reply .. the error says "r006 floating point not loaded" no its not an original disc ...

Try this

start -> run -> cmd.exe and type

chkdsk /f /r

if it errors, try again a few times.
