Yo--

How do you save a program/sounds that you create on the MPC 2000XL? Cause I create a sound and customize it and assign it, but when I try to move on, the initial sound gets erased and the new one fills the pad.

did you just get your mpc???After you do all that hold shift and save toggle to save all programs and files and it will save what ever sounds you assign to whatever pads and to save the sequence you do the same thing except you look for save all sequence....Is this your first peice of hardware?I also forgot when you assign a sound press the pad you want it to go to look at th numbers hit shift I'm not sure what number it is and look for program you can also assign sounds from there use your cursor ...Best advice is be patient with your mpc don't rush into trying to make beats lear how to do the basics first...You're probally like me and don't even bother with manuals but they do help it's just that I don't like reading about things that I would learn better from a hands on experience
