Ok, ive been using reason for a minute (coming from an mpc 2000xl) so bear with me on this post.

On the MPC you can trigger two+ sounds at the same time in the program menu, this is a really easy way to stack/layer your drums.

my question is how/what is the best way to layer-trigger sounds simultaneously in reason 3, can i use my mpd16 to trigger two drum sounds at the same time?

I know I could copy and move my drum sounds in the piano roll to layer em this way, but id like to know if there is an easier method.

to layer drums use the gate output and imputs on the back of redrum, click on the gate output on one lane and drag the wire to the gate imput on the lane you want to stack.

thats how I use to do it and it works lovley, but now I just stack drums in the nnxt. You just haveyour drums mapped out how you want, then you just copy that keyzone and drop another drum in there and set the keyrange up again. Its acutally quicker than I'm sayiing it.
