Question about setting up ''Triple Flatscreen'' help appreciated

after findin out how to hook up dual flatscreen on the forum i found out i need to buy a video card with dual VGA output; then someone said something to me that made sense when i though about it: he was like: when you got dual flatscreen you probably wanna get triple flatscreen short after but then your stuck with a newly bought video card...

could somebody explain to me how setting up triple flatscreens works? i guess the configuration is nothing different than dual but what about the video card? are there video cards that have 3 or more VGA outputs or would i need to buy 2 different video cards that would have 3 VGA outputs in total (all the flatscreens id have would have a VGA cable permanantly attatched to it) or am i overlooking something completly stupid???

If u have Windows XP, 2000 & Windows ME all support 2 graphics cards. The easiest thing 2 do is to buy a tripple or quad head video card, or buy a dual head and a normal card, or 2 dual head cards. Check these out:

Millennium P750 64MB AGP Graphic card
Matrox Parhelia 8x Triple Head Graphics Card
Matrox TripleHead2Go (Connects 2 standard VGA card, then to 3 monitors)

ok once again, you can put in 3 video cards of you want. You dont need a dual head card or a quad card. Just drop a cheap video card in to your extra pci slot. ME and up support like 12 displays IE: Monitors.

Win98 also supports two video cards. Just thought I'd throw that in there 'cause I used to do it. Your second card just has to be a supported card (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182708/en-us). I had a triple monitor setup under Win98SE at one point using a Matrox G450 dual head card and a 4MB S3 Virge as the second card (later replaced by a Matrox Mystique220 when I switched to Win2000).


If you want real multi monitors, get a Quad Display Matrox G100, G200, or G450 card. You ain't playing games past Quake3/Unreal Tournament with it, but you can have 4 displays at once.
