this is all sort of new 2 me as a producer... the whole online thing.
ive known about places like mp3.com and some other places people can post there music but honestly i never thought of it as a productive outlet.
yes millions of people use the internet, but im not sure how many out of those millions are record ex-ects who are looking to sign producers who create hip-hop and r&b (i also dabble in pop but im not ready for that). i think its more of a way to get your music hurd by others, I THINK... thats why im asking some of u.
i saw in the showcase place that alot of people have there music up at this soundclick place... how does that work? have you ever heard of people getting approched by record companys due to hearing there work on one of these sites?
for the people who have there music up on these sites can you give me some pro's and cons based on your experince.
i plan on sending my music out to record companys late this year or early next year depending on how things go, but i am currious as to some outlets in the mean time.
ps. im worried about people d/l my stuff and then stealing or just people copying what im up to.... just felt like saying that, its something im worried about.
oh yea.... i would post my music hear but the lil that i have on my comp is in ACC format so unless u got a mac you caint hear it... when my studio reaches about 50% completion i should be able to start making tracks again so il post some sh*t then.
