The Grand 2, is supposed to be top of the line shit.

shit is HUGE. you need about 4 Gigs just to install.

thats just the install... the sonuds it self are much larger. but its koo cuz it samples many differnt makes and models, for certain sounds (dark, bright, concerto, etc.)

basically, they usually sample each note at three different levels, and they sample the sound the soundboard makes after hitting the note, and usually the string release, as well as pedal release.

Thats not the reason why its so massive in size... most vsts sample 5-6 C notes (c1, c2 etc.)

but the grand 2 samples everynote, as to not distort the sound any.. Still not the reason its so massive, but that definately adds to it.
