As much as I'd like to see merc get back in it. I think he should do it on his own. I think of merc as a brother and I know he has his reasons for being silent right now. Don't get me wrong, if a vote would be the difference of having merc or not, I would be one of the 1st to throw my hand up (in favor of him spitting again). I remember once telling merc that I thought he was the hardest working cat on the internet as far as spitting and promoting himself. Some say hard work = hard rest. Hip hop is in my bro's blood and it will resurface in due time. Speaking of time, y'all check "Father Time" on the Halodim CD, thats merc on the mic, Wings on the beat, and yours truely on the cuts.

^^^^ i feel u dac, but thats obviously not my intention to rush the homie back into it but he had a distinct flava that i cant seem find anywhere else. Im sure with all the work dude was puttin in it was hectic. I have a hard enough time getting one project togther I have no idea how merc juggled so many projects at once. He aalways had multiple projects going on at once plus he was featured on other dudes projects. im sure that can take its toll. Just wanted to shout out merc and let him know that he got support if he ever wants to hop back in the emcee game!!

No doubt Ash, I know youre not trying to rush him back, my bad if I gave that impression, we all miss what merc was doing. He's like that one in a million for real. Anyways, he's got my support and you do too for that matter.

Sometimes artist need to step back and experience life because that is their main source of inspiration.

With that said I'm almost certain Merc has been working on his craft in the mean time.

I haven't recorded a word in over a year, but I've been writing and working on my flow everyday in that time period.

Also, there's times when emcee's say everything they wanted to say at that stage in their life. Then'll they'll chill for a minute then come back with a vengeance when they've entered a new stage.

Some new Merc Waters shit would be ill. The people have spoken. My John Hancock is down.

its funny this post comes up...i just recorded to one of his beats for an upcoming project of mine that i got from him a year or two ago. i would love to hear him back on the mic but as a person who's needed a break myself, i totally understand.

if and when he gets back on the mic, i think he'll be twice as strong...i miss working with him the few times we did.

there have been rhymes appearing in my head for the past 2 weeks. i actually feel it coming back to some extent. i'm really not trying to rush into it. putting the mic down has given more time and energy to focus on my production skills. i feel like i've made leaps and bounds in that area. i think when i start back up, i will be doing at lot less collaborating though. i think my next and future emceeing projects will be self-produced(for the most part) and extremely lo-fi. just raw beats and dirty vocals. i'll probably get a little dynamic mic. maybe a shure sm58 or something. i don't know.

thanx for letting a brother know y'all care. it definitely helps me evolve into whatever type of monster i'll be when i return to the mic.

and for those of you who were like, "merc who?", go to http://www.freedomwaters.com The majority of the work i've done is there for free download.

^^^ thats good to hear ... i feel u about the collabs thing..... its hard work...i know myself its difficult to try and please evrybody when u get pulled in eighty diffrent directions... its like ur splitting ur energy to evryone instead of bringing it all togther into one big massive unstoppable force lol. I agree its better do just focus on ur own shit and really pick and choose ur projects...

Mercury Waters... THE MUSE! In my very humble opinion, Merc is amongst the most remarkable poets to have ever emerged and recorded within Hip-Hop. Mercury Waters is a reflection of purity and genuine spirituality. Mercury Waters is what Hip-Hop is all about. Amazing - illuminating - lyrical\writing skills and a wondrous - effortless - flow = an absolutely exceptional MC. He's really way beyond all these guys y'all keep talkin' about... Don't sleep yo - Merc's craft\artistry is TIMELESS. I have had the honor to collaborate with him, so I speak in first person. Thank you Mercury Waters, may peace, love & light be upon you. I love you my dear brother.

With Deep Regards...
