Hip-Hop @Stona Persona is supposed to be about imagination, exaggeration, etc. and making up stories will not and does not make you a mark. Problem is 99% of (c)rappers are uninteresting and exaggerate tired tropes. The best artists are to make listeners suspend disbelief regardless of subject. Unless an artist is either “real” thug (who should never rap, liability in the music business is why) or “fake” (think someone who’s not in close proximity to actual thugs and bought/buys into the mass media perception) you don’t need to worry about being a mark.

Here in Germany its like this in the Rap Game.
If you get somewhat big in the game either the Hells Angels or one of the big Arab Clans will step to you. You get to talk that you need "Backup", protection.
If you refuse, someday some ppl will beat the shit out of you, and they come again to propose their protection to you.

Every Rapper in Germany is connected to organized crime in some kind.

FK this shit, i aint even wanna get big and make money. Unnecessary problems.

Don't know all the things behind German rap game but I don't think that Capital Bra for example has had something to do with some criminal activities. Same goes with SIDO. Haven't heard about any accusations towards them. But I might be mistaken. As I said I'm not an expert in that matter, just an enthusiast and hobbyist.

I know that Bushido had (or still has) a lot in common with one of the biggest Muslim gang in Germany I think. 187 Strassenbande is also notorious for their problems with law. In general (and don't want to sound racist here or something I'm just talking about my observations) all these muslim immigrants who later on become rappers in Germany have a lot in common with all these gangs and stuff. I also noticed that this topic is also touched regularly in German pop-culture as it is common motive in tv series etc (take Skylines by Netflix or 4 Blocks for example).

When I look at it, it's kinda sad that most of German rap game are foreigners right now. It's a bit strange because I cannot picture this kind of situation in any other country to be honest.

I dont meant like they were involved, just connected to them by giving a share of their money they make to the clans or the angels.

Jeder Rapper in Deutschland, jeder ausnahmslos hat einen gewissen Background,Rücken” spricht Khaled Miri.

"Rücken"
means that you pay either one of the clans or the hells angels (those are the main two, i bet there are some smaller too) to give you backup.

@Memento Beats the American equivalent is (c)rappers, trappers and studio "gangstas" (e.g. Wayne pretending to be Blood) paying for protection and street rappers having to "check in"
