Nawh... I was there first hand.... there are plenty of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) there.... we (my unit and others) were handing those things and water by the 24 pack out like hot cakes... but... most of the people are in shelters now... and they have kitchens w/ volunteers cooking hot meals for them... cuz if you ever had an MRE, nothing beats a hot meal.... WRD TO THT !!!... but things are looking a little better now... but TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS.... One Love yall....

yeah i talk a lot of shit about America all the time. But the fact is, is that even in Oklahoma there are innocent people that are getting caught up in political bullshit. America is divided with me: Political/Religious, Race, and Income. The people in charge do not represent anyone, generally, except for own class's needs. And when goverment's fall then the innocent class's get caught up in the Politic's.. I say fuck America sometimes but only cause pretty much the same racist assholes from 1700 are in charge of our fucking country and it doesn't seem to get recognized in the press at all. I don't like to be lied to by the country who takes over 35% of my paycheck and taxes that fund a slaughter of mostly innocent people in the middle east. I stand up for the people who have respect for themselves and others. thats where i stand. America is my home in a way but I've never been patriotic. I think it's the same thing about me never remembering peoples names or somethin but i don't think it's about what someones calls you or where you are from.. but who you are. individually

its too bad you feel that way. i say fuck bush but never america. and as for who really is doing the killing in the middle east you should take a closer look. saddam was a great king. he only killed 18000 of his countrymen in a so called ethnic clensing 1 year. another 15000 in another. thats just in a 2 year span not to mention the tortures and rape of women. theres also a shitload of bombs goin off in iraqi mosques. they killin they own people. too bad that a thread started off as a good gesture and turned to this. ill just avoid looking at threads like this in the future. oh i am a proud american too.

I hope the folks that are saying these things about the US realise its easy for somebody from the outside looking in to critize what they dont understand...
PLUS its naive as hell to think the US is the only one doing dirt around here, Eurpoe and other western counties have blood on their hands as well. Its funny how those countries are never mentioned. Ive noticed that other countries and cultures tend to use the US as a scape goat to hide their own problems....

Like I said im not stupid, America is a fucked up place at times, trust me I know, but its also a great place too, and people tend to forget that aspect. It’s a place were a poor sharecropper who can barely read(my grandfather) can watch his grandson walk across the stage and get his masters degree. Like it or not, their aint too many places in the world where this can happen
The fact of the matter is this is my home and despite the BS I really wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. So does that make me a George bush lover for being some what patriotic?? Does that means I agree with all our govement decisions. HELL NO! It just means im proud of my heritage.

but on one note on culture, i dont think the "american dream" is an american concept, the idea of bettering yourself through hard graft is a universal concept, i also dont agree that rock is american either....but as i said im leaving it there, i dont want beef, you are an educated gent, and it is nice to spar with someone who can put forward there opinions with conviction and not back down, ha, you are the epitome of the american dream....
but, i want a truce wit you classic, i wanna start from scratch i really do...or we could go on and on and on for ever, arguement, counter arguemnet, so on and so forth, on any controvertial topic, but please understand that, to a certain extent i do know what i am talking about, with regard to america, i mean, US and UK are forever going to be allies hand in hand, which tells me, our culture and heritage arent that different. i mean come on, all white americans are from england anyway!!!
anyway peace man, i respect you, i may never agree with you on a lot of things, but i respect you....
