ON: Hearing a song in your dreams before the song ever comes out

this has only happened to me on 3 occasions, both with bone thugs songs. they were my absolute favortie group at the time.

the first time it happened was a song on flesh's t.h.u.g.s album. "playa hater" or something like that, i heard this joint about 6 months before the album came out. there was no way i could have heard it before hand at the time.

i heard the song in its entirety, woke up thinking it was a dope ass song and wishing it were real. the next semester, a kid i knew from graffiti writing had the disc in math class, and let me borrow it so i could record it to tape, and thats when i heard it the first time in the "real" world.

i also heard krayzie bones "hard times" from the art of war album during this same time period, long before the album came out.

the third time, i heard "are you in" by incubus. this was before i had even heard drive- the song that introduced me to the group. i remember bugging out when i heard it, because i remembered the dream instantly.

this happen to anyone else? it's crazy. not that i think there is any significance, i just wonder if anyone else has had this experience.

i was young as hell (cant remeber how young) sitting in the back of my friends mom's car, and I said "Liar Liar pants on Fire" ... i had never heard anyone say it before . It just came to me. Everybody bust out laughing. And then after that i started hearing it everywhere, I honestly thought (and still secretly think) that i made the phrase up. haha tru story...

yeah but thats weird truth.. maybe u have some ability to see the future.. or maybe u just have bone thug power lol.. i dunno .. but i cant say ive had a similiar experience. strange.

LOL... thats funny shit. right? i remember jacking drums from three different records-1 from the roots, 1 from rick james, and billie jean, and thinking i was gonna revolutionize hip hop with this "new" revalation. i always thought people used preset drum machine hits. i also started filtering my basslines thinking i was on some next level, then reading years later on how pete rock and tribe did it on all their shit. ah well.

but i heard these songs, by these artists and just lost it when i actually heard em. it was kinda creepy.

I can't remember the last time i've had a dream and heard any music being played, mine are usually related to death/violents and straight up weird shit for some reason.

As for hearing the bone tracks, could it just be with alot of their tracks being similar? or have you been downloading leaks?

nah man... this was like... 96 or some shit. waaaaay back. i was 15. this was before i had internet access, and before everything leaked like this. i dont think napster was even around yet. it was the exact songs. beats, words, melody, everything was exact.

I've had some of those dreams, and I usually wake up not remembering the tune. It's quite frustrating especially when you know it was a good song. But we are "SPIRITUAL ANTENNAS" at our prime state, receiving all type of suggestions while sleeping. It's kinda like INVOLUNTARY REMOTE VIEWING, cause we are interconnected after all.

Or maybe I'm just insane like the rest of y'all! LOL

I have dreamed music quite a few times, I immediately go to my studio and try and make it at that moment.
Otherwise I try and remember it and get to it as fast as I can.
This happened quite alot in making the Child abuse LP, but thats almost all Triton so I was in more of a keyboard state of mind.
I cant recall hearing anyone elses stuff before its come out, Ive heard Sanovas latest track quite a few times while dreaming (which is getting on my nerves.."My swwaaaag my floooow...I gotta get my money")
and a few others or projects Im working on.

lol, yes I have dreamed a few songs. Even better I once dreamed about Logic audio years ago, long before I had ever used it. I thought that was a crazy omen so I started using Logic right away, then apple bought them and I had to get a mac lol

i remember back 89/90 my mate just got back from Cyprus and came round to let me know he was back, he had a lump of Double Zero hash, we smoked it and he went home. I went into my house and lay on my bed listening to the most brilliant music, the thing was it was all in my head. It was the best beat Ive ever heard, and it was that 1 moment that made me want to make music. If it wasnt for that 1 joint of double zero I might not even be making music. Its never happened since tho. And it was so long ago I cant even remeber what it sounded like to hear it again.

i had a dream i was in an alley freestyling with Red and Method.. i remember thinking that i can't mess up and then came up with some crazy ass lines, i woke up all sudden and intense right after that sequence. other other times i had dreams where i was freestyling or hear a beat but i have never thought it was going to happen.. for me it was just a compliment that i can dream of pure illness that my conscious mind couldn't create then. its in you at that point, digging it's roots deep. but i stunted the conscious growth from constant weed bouts and nightly escorts with brandy.. that is until just recently

Just say no to drugs and it will all go away. =) j/k... I've had a few of those déjà vous type dreams when you know that you've been in that situation before but never had...other than that, I think they are just normal dreams of whatever.
