just wanted to start a thread about sum baseball,witout hatin, since its pretty much the most important thing in my life come october. glad the tigers stepped up yesterday and beat the enemy, im watchin the mets game right now its the top of the 7th and its 4-0, , if the mets win this one theyll be 2-0 in the series.which i wouldnt mind cuz pedros my fav pitcher id like to see him win another ring.pretty upset that hes hurt and cant play in the post season,cuz hes a beast in the post season.on the other hand i like nomah so id like to see him win another ring too.im sure hes not content with the one he won with the red sox

I thought Nomar was on the Cubs in '04. I'm almost 100% positive he doesn't have a ring. And he got hurt yesterday but I'm not sure how serious it is. Mets do look good though.

I like how you say "w/o hatin" but snuck in a cheap shot by callin the Yanks "the enemy". But it's all good. I'm used to it from Red Sox fans. The Tigers pitched their asses off in Game 2. The Yanks were very dissappointing on the other hand and are allowing the Tigers to make this interesting. If A-rod don't step up there is already a trade waiting with the Angels. Allegedly the Angels owner apologized to their fans for not supplying Vlad Guerrero w/ a legitimate power threat to protect him in the line-up. And they are willing to send the Yanks a short stop prospect and the young hard throwing pitcher Irving Santana in exchange for A-Rod. It's a shame too because he is by-far one of the most talented players EVER to play...but some people just do not have the mental make-up to play in New York.
The Cardinals (leading 2-0 over the Padres) look like they will give the Mets a run for the National League title but the Mets should still be able to pull it off. So I'm still expecting another Subway Series.

Yeah i heard the the same shyt and i work in Angels Stadium...I would hate to see Santana go..since dude is only 23,but A-rod will 1) bring the people in 2) Sell more merchandise 3) Hopefully get us back to the top of the AL West.

On a side note those 103 mph balls Zumaya was throwin had my mouth droppin

nomah did get a ring from being on the 2004 red sox team, he got traded pretty early in that season, and the trade def made him sour, there was even rumors that he refused to accept the ring, but he actually did accept it .didnt last too long on the cubs ,he was always hurt,and now hes hurt again playin for the dodgers.that dude has the worst fuckin luck in the world he was suppose to be the next ted williams and shit and his career just keeps spiraling downward, i really hope shit gets better for him.the yanks prolly will trade arod , hes a beast durin the reg season but when it comes to the playoffs, he just sucks

lol...nah I've been away from the computer all weekend but I saw them 3 pitiful games. Really I aint got nothin to say but the better team won. Just proves once again that good pitching beats good hitting. As much as I hate Mets fans (almost as much as Boston fans) I hope the World Series comes to New York again...even if it is the wrong borough. The Yankees need to unload some of their bats and pick up some good YOUNG pitchers. And yeah Bastard we lost....but we lost in the Playoffs.....we didn't end up in 3rd place.

And I've got plenty of Mets fans and just plain old Yankee haters around me so I've taken my medicine like a man...and rightfully so. But hey...that comes w/ the territory. I'm still a Yankees fan and always will be...even when they disappoint the shit outta me. Remember, I was born in 1979..so I was a Yankees fan during the 80's and early 90's too...when they SUCKED really bad.

Now I turn my attention to the NFL...let's go Giants. And maybe my NY Knicks will be decent this year. lol.....

dont play yurself. losing in the playoffs is no betetr than bein in last please in the reg season. i rather my team not even make it to the palyoffs every year then excite me me wit hype just to lose every year liek the yanks have been since 2000,the dynastys over

Who said anything about losing in the playoffs rather than the regular season? But since you brought it up.....I'd rather get there than finish in 3rd I guess when you're used to being a loser you rather not even come close...but me, I'm proud of the fact that my team is in it every year.

And at least we've had dynasties....yeah plural DYNASTIES.

I more pissed about our so called "sick lineup" that couldn't produce in the playoffs. I'm not pissed about the Mets...their NY...I hope they win...but I don't think it'll happen.
