Just got one of these niggas and so far it's pretty cool.

Quick question though:

does anybody actually use these things to sample records? I hooked it up to my mixer and I get so much heavy feed back it's rediculous. (you know that gentle "izzzzzzzzzz" noise you get through your monitors when you turn your mixer on)

that's the thing. there's no ground on the turntable itself. guess ima have to set the old newmark back up cause the dude at guitar center told I could sample with this.

What is the output level of the turntable?
Maybe its high output, in which case it should be run through the line in, not phono in.

is it pretty solid or what? if this is the model i'm thinking of I was pretty non-plussed by the construction of it- it looked flimsy..

I have sampled with it and it is powered already if i remeber correctly .... It would just be a line in ...... Its a nice table to sample with ...
