Of course he knew, how could he not, but im guessing like most humans he just chose to conciously or subconciously ignore the truth, he was happy, he had no reason to raise questions that would cause him the amount of pain that he felt when the truth was revealed.

What i would like to know is what possessed her to tell him?? Seemed like another selfish move to me.
