No offense to Catholics(and its not like you can say anything about them without offending), but what is the big deal about the pope? Ghandi was tighter than the pope.
Martin Luther King did more than the pope.

I've grown up experiencing many different religions, so its not like I'm just singling out Catholics. My mom has been on a spiritual quest since I was born. We tried Johovah, catholicism, christianity, buddism, baptist (my favorite so far because the church band and choir jams, and the reverand gets down and you can feel his words). Now my mom sits in a circle and beats on a drum for spirituallity. Native Indian type stuff.

But for real though, catholics are too rooted in tradition. Have you ever been to a catholic church. Sit....stand....kneel....stand.....sit...sitstandkneel. I mean shit, make up your mind. What is the significance of an old ass man in a robe and a dunts hat? In my opion old people are the ones who fucked the world up in the first place. Its up to the youth.

Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. I guess I just have a prob with religion itself. Cuz some of the biggest assholes in the world are so called religous. Shit I've been going to college for five yrs straight including summers, so does that make my religion burnt out college student?

Religion was created to control the masses. Just cuz you say so many Hail Mary's doesn't make you better than the next. And thats how "relgion" has made me feel. If you don't do this, then you'll end up like this. Especially catholicism. Our higher being whatever you want to call he/she/it(Allah, God, Jesus, Budda, George) has instilled rightousness in our hearts. Have faith in yourself, not some old ex-nazi.

no disrespect to catholics, christians, ect.. but our civilization is trippin too much over religion. I don't think it's as much about the organization, politics, specific religion, blah blah blah... It's about God, point blank. Man has perversed religions into politics and that's not what it's about. My uncle works in Africa twice a year building schools and homes and that's what it's about.

A moral instance? People don't even listen to their parents who try to divert them from the mistakes they've made. So what is a pope going to do? Yeah I am a spoiled ass american who doesn't know why peeps in third world countries believe what they believe, but thats all I have to go by. My experience as an american.

And a sign of hope to poor people? The catholic church is one of the, if not the richest entity in the world. Who else gets money just because? Maybe the pope can convince the church to donate some loot to the aids crisis in Africa instead of gold plating menial things in the vatican. Oh yeah I forgot, its because population control and world domination is the underlying factor for all the inhumane shit that is going on all over the world. And how ironic is it that most of the bad shit is happening to people of color? Africans, arabs, orientals? Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
