New Outkast..... What the hell?

the new Outkast singles are crazy..... they really flipped things this time, especially andre (i figured he'd be the one to go WAY left, and he did....) but all in all i like the two singles... any of you heard them? once again, these two came out with something much different from that rest of the hip hop world, both will manage to get good spins, and they may very well end the debate of "best duo ever" with this album..... at least for me.

and then there is dmx..... well, i cant say the same for this one. didnt like one track (i listened to most of them, there were a few that were inaccessable) ..... looks like its still dark but not quite so hot for the x man... what do you guys think?

I wanna hear all of it cause I heard one or two songs, cant remember the names, but they were amazing. They suprized me. They continuosly produce an amzing genre of their own. Much props.

4 real!! every is like we want something new and different, and when i comes people are like its wack! i.e. the clones album..its a so called "experimental" album as the neptunes call it, and its really not that bad, they messed around, came up with some different ish, then everyone is like its wack, the only thing wack about it is roscoe p coltrain..hes garbage...lol..but it still has some bangin tracks on it, thats the same wit the kast album, just cuz u dont like every song or they dont sample everything they can dont mean its not hot! i cant wait til tuesday! ha

well they said themselvs that they weren't breaking up..big boi and andre 3000 both said that they been together for more than 10 years and they going to stay that way cause they family

Whats so different about it? What is andre doing that is different? He's singing over polka beats. Call me a hater all you want for not liking it.

I'd just like to add Kool Keith has had the image andre now has for years. Kool keith even calls him on it. I used to love outkast but when people all of a sudden become weird i find that suspect and gimmicky. If he was weird and abstract the whole time ok maybe but whats with this I get with eryka badu and now i'm the weird one. Not buying it.

The new Big Boy single aint that bad, just a regular TR808 drum pattern with a 1980's hook. Nothin special. The new Andre is just plain gay. That is shit is seriously gay. I really think he's a fuckin homosexual now man, what happened to that guy. It aint even Hip Hop no more its like some crazy French circus music. I'm not feelin that at all.

kool keith can call out andre all he wants, because andre is a exactly 3000 times better than is sorry ass will ever be. he isnt busting out with stupid things like "i see blue bugs biting my skin fighting drunkin monkeys on space ships having anal sex with alien human beings". not a quote, but not far from it....

the two arent odd in the same vein at all... i highly doubt andre is out there like "i got to do what this man does".... it isnt a gimmick at all, i dont think. he sold well before he got real bugged out.

haha yeah i feel you on the hater thing. Sometimes I miss the sarcasm. Its your opinion on not liking kool keith but he's far from wack, I can see how some people dont like him but he's put in work long before outkast with the ultramagnetic shit. Kool keith is on some different shit foreal. He's literally a crazy man that raps, he's been institutionalized, the whole 9, he's insane.

Thats why what he raps about is so amusing to me and funny. He wears capes and wigs and football gear all the shit Dre is doing. Outkast sold alot before because they were original and dope and had a unique hiphop sound, Andre is not even doing hiphop anymore. I dont think this will appeal to that many people. His rapping was great but all this singing, slappin the knee's polka sounding "All the beyonce's and lucy lu's get on the dance floor" stuff is not fresh to me at all.

It WILL appeal to a lot of people becuase there is a lot of Outkast dick suckers who will praise anything Outkast does no matter how terrible it is. If any one of us in this forum showed up to a record lable with that new Andre single, they'd call security on us and have us thrown out the window.

Personally, I like hard hip hop beats, somethin to groove to and ride to. I dont like this soft half rock/half polka/ half circus music.

As much as I would like to be an outkast hater....I could....I wasn't a groundfloor fan back in the beginning but you look at their creativity as far as what they are willing to do musically.....it does remind me of the mindset of what real live bands have to do as far as coming up with music, ideas and images to push the theme of what you want to sell....I like the take off on the old 60's video and what they did but I gotta say Outkast has a lot more to offer musically and I think they will be around and I never thought they would last and keep coming up with funky ass shidd like every single.......hahahaha
