Yeah but unless your really playing big block chords, etc. your not gonna need a full length keyboard most likely...

Word. You can easily make due tho man. Just group particular sounds into each bank, thats what I do.
But it depends on the way u work.
For example, i always lay my kick and snare down first so I have bank A with just kicks and snares...then i move onto bank B which is just hihats and cymbals....then I move onto bank C which is percussive sounds like shakers, etc......just keep moving bank to bank....
If you got 48 slots for sounds, thats really quite a bit ya kno?
I would just use the MPK and do both...
48 was alot, but I decided to cop an MPD24, got that from Fade actually. I feel that my work has improved since getting it, even if it's just sped up my workflow slightly. I use the MPK for composition now and the MPD for samples.
