So now you guys got an idea where his head is, are yall ok with this as his 1st single? Taking into account his relative complete absence from the mainstream, and his fan base basically spread out amongst hip hop right now. Can he have a reputable release? or even a classic worthy of topping off his career? I'd like you guys's thoughts!
Yeah I agree the first few seconds can be cut out, then it turned into what we've been missing.

ahh ok
I don't believe that even Dre can bounce back from being out of the mainstream for so long. He would basically have to come up with some super gimmicks, have super dope beats and atleast 80% of his album would have to be bangers. The Dre era has passed, sure, old heads will support and may be even deemed a success but I don't think it's gonna be anywhere near what people are expecting. I think it will be in the OK to GOOD range.

Unfortunatly I think you're right. He'd have to reinvent himself on the last 12-15 tracks of his career in oder to be so relevant as to conjure up another Era like we had before. Also, he usually comes out with a protege around this time. ...I mean, they just let a bunch of people go.
Against the odds, I hope he has the music to do it tho. But theres surprisingly little hype in the media about this.

I think this album will be another reintroduction for him to mainstream and i think it will be more sucessful than your average sucessful rap album,and should go Platnium eventually . He might not have protege,but he still has one of the most popular rappers in Em and I'm sure the other most popular rapper Wayne will be along for the ride also.
I do not think it will be era defining like the last two though. His sound hasnt really changed that much and mainstream hip hop seems to drift furthur and furthur in to just sounding like pop music
