need advice on controller

i need advice on what the hands down best midi controllers are out there please reply.

Depends on what you're seeking. I use the Akai MPD-16 drum pads to lay down drums etc, Miditech Midistart keybard to play melodies and I just bought an Evolution UC-33 mixer to control the virtual rack in Reason...but what are you really seeking?
