Here's a list of players that really impressed me during the first half of the season:
-ALLEN IVERSON:
The NBA's leading scorer again. He carried the team on many occasions. Still the Sixers are a middle of the road team and his FG % could be way better.
-KOBE BRYANT:
Say all you want, he's one of the best shooting guards to ever play the game. The Lakers are doing much better than everyone expected. Much like Iverson, his FG% could be better.
-AMARE STOUDAMIRE:
His game really improved and now he's one of the most dominant big men in the league. Not a great rebounder.
-LEBRON JAMES:
Wow ! I can't believe a 20 years old can play so well. Extremely versatile. Reminds me a lot of S.Pippen.
-RAY ALLEN:
His game is smooth as hell. One of the last pure NBA shooters. FG % is down this season.
-DWAYNE WADE:
Like Stoudamire, he really improved. Very athletic and versatile for a PG.
-SHAQ O'NEAL:
He's getting old, but still is the most dominant center. With Wade and Shaq healthy, Miami can last during the playoffs.
-GILBERT ARENAS:
So far , the Wizards are one the biggest suprises of the league. Arenas is a great scorer, tho his shot selection is sometimes suspect.
-TIM DUNCAN:
His game is UGLY, but extremely efficient. The Spurs have the best record with minimal talent around Duncan. nuff said.
-STEVE NASH:
Great passer, makes his teamates better.
-SHAWN MARION:
Scores less than Stoudamire but is much more versatile.
MY PREDICTIONS:
The Spurs or Suns will probably clinch the best record at the end of the season, so I'd say either DUNCAN or NASH. LEBRON is a legitimate candidate, but I just don't see someone so young being MVP.
