I don't like it. Who cares what a fool wears on the bench anyways.

I hate people in suits, I'm always thinking their going to rob me with some elaborate con.

I think they're turning their back on a big demographic of their fan base. In my neck of the woods guys play basketball all day, watch every Nuggets game and all the nice matchups...Not one of us would be caught dead in a suit. Even at funerals we don't wear suits.

The only people that think the NBA needs an image change are the baby boomers who are about to die off anyways then the Hip Hop generation will run things.

It will be good for the kids to see someone like Iverson dressed up wearing something other then a jearsy. Believe it or not Iverson is a trend setter. For as long as core rolls been in African American culture he was the one who made it popular again. Who knows what changes could come from this in the long run.

Well I agree with the suits for arriving/leaving games, and maybe certain public appearances, but not suits for everything. I mean, are the next NBA champs supposed to wear suits at the parade? LOL.

The dress code doesn't call for suits, it calls for business casual attire. The NBA already has a dress code, its just not enforced. The NBA has attracted a LOT of heat and probably lost endorsements and sponsors behind that Artest shit, so they gotta rebound in the face of corporate America.

If you come with a collared shirt and look decent, then nobody's gonna sweat u. The fact that somebody (radio, general consensus) would say its racist on Stern's part to implement this rule, just makes the situation worse. If I'm a professional at anything, I wanna represent myself well at team functions and stuff like that.

honetsly, i see a lot of "racist" cries around the net ... but honestly, most companies want their employess to have a professional appearance...

i switched up my whole style of dress when i got the office work. i couldnt afford two sets so i just kind of went with basic things and did what i had to do. thats just the nature of business. PERIOD. the nba is a huge corporation with public image issues- like it or not- and the goal of any business is to protect that image.

not that im with the premise that they look like "hooligans" completely, but you want to maintain a professional appearance in most businesses. i run my own business now and i have to mainatain a professional image. i cant roll up to a job site with wu tang blaring full blast... thats just business.

-- Sleveless shirts (I can see where there at with this I guess, but what is a basketball jersey?)

-- Shorts (not that big of a deal)

-- T-shirts(not that big of a deal by a button up or something)

-- Chains, pendants, or medallions worn over the player's clothes.(I agree with this)

-- Sunglasses while indoors(no shit)

-- Headphones (other than on the team bus or plane, or in the team locker room). (MAKES SENSE)

Also jerseys and baseball caps will no longer be acceptable attire for postgame press conference. (LAME!!)
