it comes down to what i have said before...

uk hiphop does not =london.... with a few exceptions.

all the jobs are in london, but the northern emcees rep british to the max jehst being one, young max from dirty diggers, and loads of mad talented unsigned emcees, london just doesnt have the balls to sign northern acts because they break the mould, with their accents, but for me it is raw, and is where the uk scene is, but truewe are behind and i have said all i have to say about nationalism in hiphop in a previous thread (National identity in hip hop)

who arent exactly bringing their own accent through with their music,
To me, yea thats being fake but at least they are doing their thing an actualy globaly promoting UK music.

Straight up the Reason why u See alot of US clones walkin around is Cuz People in the UK/Canada too (some what) Dont have Deep Roots in Uk/Canada Most Black people are only 1st , 2nd ,3rd Generation in these too Countries

class i agree with u 90% of UK hip hop is cheap (and i mean cheap) US imitations. i dont know if u had the chance to check out our 'homegrown' hip hop channel called Channel U - i think this triggered the US dick ridin coz of the trends it seems to set with the bling videos which look like they cost £50 to create. before that channel came out i didnt hear any of that shit...

anyway it'll be all good soon coz France is desperate to kick us out of Europe coz of Iraq and make us an additional US state!

Channel U is a joke. It's either fake US wannabes or grime rudeboys screwfacing the camera! I don't think classic really checked any good uk stuff out, next time your in london, don't go to the jump off, go to kung fu or deal real records for the open mic.

for good uk stuff that doesn't want to be american check out foreign beggers, jehst, taskforce,terrafirma,skinnyman,ghost,roots manuva etc etc.
