Can someone help me out?
I'm trying to do some multi-tracking on my PC for an intro to a mixtape that i'm recording. I want to record an instrumental then record some scratches over it.
I'm doing this in acid. I recorded the instrumental into it, no problem. Then when i recorded some scratches into it, it was recording the instrumental over it too. Get me? I wanted the scratches on their own track so i could mess with the position of them. And i did that but the instrumental is on the new track too.
So now I've got, 2 tracks. One with the instrumental on it, and the second with the instrumental and scratches on it
I've currently got my tt's plugged into the mixer, and got a session/computer rec running from the mixer into the "in" on my soundcard. The "out" on my soundcard is plugged into the "session" on my mixer.
Is there anyway i can mute the instrumental, and hear through my headphones, then still record the scratches on their own?
Would cool edit be more suitable for this?
