Multi-conceptual Rap

What are rap songs about? when for instance drake is rappin, what is the point of his song? 1 line is about ego, another is about girls, another is about money, another is about his mom, and so on and so on. this also happens a lot with Kanye, eminem (the mom part especially), kendrick, and ... (this is one of the reasons I admire joyner lucas)

So I was writin my own shit and I thought hey, what if I'm tired of having meaning 24/7? what if I wanna make money? what if my Audience is tired of this shit or I gotta ghostwrite for someone who doesn't like lyrical shit?
When I write raps I am Always rapping about a specified concept, like this is one of my new verses :

"Power to Win Battles or will to keep Peace?
Screams in my heart or Whispers of my Wits?
Honesty with my thoughts, bring illusions to a cease
or give in to the fantasy and fall on my knees ha?

God, you're my greatest dilemma, shit I need dope
These thought's be making me smoke
'Would you not sell being blunted to be woke or would 'you sell the blunt so you ain't gotta live broke?

God you're my Weed, my power to get by
my cocaine my crack my meth, 'tever gets me high
my allah, my god, my hope, you be the most high
life's best lifetime temporary lie

Should I 'count days till my death, be anxious for livin
or gratified by lies "I'm gonna be in heaven"
im strong enough to win the war against my own lie
but why fight a war that costs my own life"

so as you see, this verse is all about the same concept, it's telling the story of thoughts that are... connected to eachother. this is something I like, but it's not useful for a ghostwriter. no one wants to hear shit like this, this is kinda useless in the industry.

So here's my question: How can I write typical bullshit? How can I function jumpin from a concept to another 6 times in a single verse? what should my mindset be for that?

btw this shit sounds more like a poem, would it sound good on a beat? what should I do about that?

This rhyme is pure introspective...which means that these bars are a part of your mental and emotional processes...you also maintain only one subject matter which doesn't align with the randomness of bs that you hear in most songs.
Me personally, I don't feel any lyrics that are gonna compare The Most High God to carnal things such as meth, weed, etc.
The point that Im trying to make is if your rhymes seem more spiritual related as opposed to fleshly related (such as drugs, women, partying, etc) then your just gonna be underground forever. As skilled as Jay Electronica is...no one wants to hear his subject matter but a select few.

His new album as trash and we all know he doesnt write he has a crew for everything. That's why it can vibe but deep down it makes no sense.

I like Drake though, I think the OVO sound is really nice. Especially artist like PartyNextDoor or DVSN

Most @ArvinArmani rap songs are about nothing because rap began as stream of consciousness so most people who deem themselves poetic and/or want to be feel at a loss but we who see ourselves as poetic don’t have to be at a loss.

Keep going and don’t stop.

I mean even the smarter rappers don't rap about anything, they usually say "Hey, imma make a lyrical song with a meaning" but it's more like they're tryna sound sophisticated, you know? one line about trump, the next about dead people in chicago, next about iraq, etc... they never say anything important.
Thank you by the way.

Thank you for this, and yea you're right. but isn't it a better strategy if I "Make it" with the typical bitches racks money money lil big (x/3)x(2y^3) bullshit, get recognition as producer like Kanye did, jump to the mic, get my reputation, become the important guy, THEN put my lyrical part inside? I mean imagine if Ye didn't drop anything for 4 or 5 years, then he rapped these lyrics instead of me. not only he's more skilled, but also, People will hear him. people will take him seriously. it will affect more people and affect them more deeply, right? that may be a day a rapper has actually changed the way of humanity and life or inspired billions of people. is there any reasonably way that this strategy wouldn't be the smartest way?

If im allowed to throw in my 2 Cents,

while you're probably right with stating that the BS Rap is far more popular i personally think it is far more worthy to humanity itself to write stuff like you do, which i totally like. I mean it sounds flashy and "cool" to rap about having 30 houses, 3000 cars, 30000 women in a week and 30000000$ cash to spend on stuff you dont need, but who of the listeners can really relate to that stuff? I think thats the reason so many people listen to that type of rap or music in general. They do it for fun and amusement and dont really want to think about life and what comes with it. Brain off -> Music on. I really like to hear what and how people really think about stuff you know? Like getting to know the artist better and getting a look into his thoughts and soul, i miss that kind of music, especially in rap. You ll prolly never grow a fanbase by starting out like that so like you said, it really would be clever to build a fanbase and then start dropping out meaningful stuff. For me personally it would be the biggest achievement if i even could inspire one human with something i have to say, its like planting a little seed wich, when starting to grow, sure will spread over time. This will be always my first goal in music over any money i could get with BS raps.

Sorry for the Harry Potter :D

Best regards.
Where was the harpy potter though? :D
thanks for your reply, I read it but I'm too sleepy, Imma get more into it tomorrow.

A @Armani specific concept makes for good songwriting and good music overall. Blame the incoherence of the new gen of "(c)rappers" on what I call dummy drugs e.g. pills for ADHD, etc. and truth is rap as an art form suffers from its roots as freestyle improvisation style raps which begat rappers not giving a damn about having coherent ideas.
