i was day dreaming in class today and i was thinkin, im gunna be goin to italy next summer, and im def gunna cop a shit load of vinyl, and then i was thinkin, i should bring my mpc and a portable turntable wit me, in case shit gets boring sum nights i can werk on sum beats with a pair of headphones or suttin, then i was thinkin, if i put my mpc in my luggage andthey see that shit on the xray machine, they might think its sum type of electrical bomb. i rememebr when i was 8 and i was commin home from italy i had a toy guna my mom bought me at a store, they took it out of the luggage and said theyd ship it to logan airport in boston where i could pick it up, they never shipped it. i would be extremly pissed if that shit happened wit my mpc, so my question to yall is, have u ever takin yur mpoc on a flight after 911?

Nice man I hope you have a good time in Italy. That'll be cool to bring your MPC on a plane... but... I've never been on a plane that has an electrical socket before... do they have em? Probably on planes that goes over seas huh? Makes me think... maybe I should take a vacation somewhere overseas next year and do the same thing your doing by bringing the MPC along.

But you know what sucks. Everytime I go on a plane, I never see any hott or good look women. Never ever. I usually travel alone and I always get seated next to an old dude or old lady. I'm always hoping to sit next to a hott chic but it never happens. Oh well.

YEAH THATS WHUT IM THINKIN, BUT IM JUST TRYIN TO LOOK AT IT THRU THEIR EYES , I HAVE A FOREIGN NAME, BOTH FIRST AND LAST ( LUCA IANNINO) , HAVE DARK SKIN COMPARED TO THE AVERAGE CAUCASION, AND IM GUNNA BE TRYING TO GET ON A PLANE WITH A WEIRD LOOKING ELECTRICAL DEVICE IN MY BACKPACK, AT THE SAME AIRPORT WHERE THEY HIGHJACKED THE 911 PLANES (LOGAN) . I KNOW FOR A FACT FROM BEING A SECURITY GUARD AND TALKIN TO OTHER SECURITY GUARDS THAT SECURITY IS EXTEMLY TIGHT AT LOGAN, U HAVE TO SHOW UP 3 HOURS BE4 A FLIGHT TO GO THRU AL LSECURITY CHECKS AND MAKE YUR FLIGHT.I DUNNO... ILL PROLLY HAVE MY FRIEND THERE WIT ME SO IF I CANT TAKE IT ON ILL SEND IT BACK WITH HIM, I JSUT HOPE THEY DONT GO TO ANY EXTREME LIKE BUST MY SHIT OPEN TO LOOK AT THE INSIDES OF THE MPC, THAT WOULD FUCKIN SUCK

bring the manule with you so if they trip pull the that out and tell them what it is they should'nt because i bring my playstation 2 and xbox on planes all time and they never trip. so you should be straight

Ok...you folks got jokes....hehe...This is my first hand experience of traveling with a MPC on an airplane.

Here are a few rules you must follow and everything should be ok.

1. DO NOT CHECK YOU MPC AS LUGGAGE! (98% chance that you will get back a defective unit when you unpack it)

2. Do find a bag for your unit that will fit in the overhead compartment or under your seat. This applies only to the 2000, 2000XL, 3000's, and especially the 4000. I doubt if you can carry on a 4000, but you never know. I don't know the size of the 2500 compared to the 2000, so I won't comment on it.

3. Make sure that if you have to take a connecting local flight (small propeller, crop duster type of airplane) that you tell the stewardess to put it in the closet compartment.
If they put it in with the rest of the luggage that is sitting in the runway, you will definitely taking a chance with it being damaged when the airplane luggage shifts around.

4. Your MPC will be scanned like a laptop, so remove all of your disk or you will lose all of your hard work. This might apply to flash disk also.

If you keep these rules in mind you will ensure that your unit is not damaged.
