...

OK-all - im pleased to announce (for those that care!)

IT'S WORKING!!

After all that madness, all those hours spent setting this up. I finally have sound and recorded notes!

Quite simply:

To use the MPC as a controller and nothing else.

-No need to setup buses

-No need to set up MIDI OUT device

-No need to handshake MIDI channels

-You simply treat the MPC as a USB Midi controller keyboard.

-MIDI Out B from MPC to Midi in A on Interface.

-Open Reason - ....in preferences, manually add a KEYBOARD (not CONTROL SURFACE - this is also where I was going wrong)

Select track and record!

OK - so it turns out, going online for tutorials and them not stating exactly how you are supposed to use that set up f-ked things up. I guess thats my fault. Anyhow, I thank you for the help.

AHHHHH- Finally, time to get busy with these samples.

yea, I actually question if control surface was the right selection
I think I remember a control surface is seen as say a mixing board. While even tho any pad controllers arent keys, they work the same as keys. Meaning you need to pick keyboard. I ran into this with the PadKontrol (which I now need to replace >_>)
