Monitor Recomendation

Check it out I got terrible computer speakers at the moment looking to upgrade very soon to a set of good monitors. Powered ones preferably as I don't own an amp.

I have around $400-$800 to spend anyone got any ideas?

Well it also depends on how big your room is, and shit like that but have a look at the KRK RP range, the Event TR8, Alesis M1 Active 620, Wharfedale DP8.2.
The best thing to do is go to sum music stores, and have a listen. Bring in a reference CD, and I'm sure they will let u listen to it on their monitors.

Yeah, M-Audio is taking over. They got some good equipment for reasonable prices. I own the SP5-b Monitors. Got then on EBAY for $100.00. Reg 499.00 when they first came out.

check it out I ended up going for the KRK rokit 6's , read some good reviews also gave them a listen in store and compared to the rest i liked these.. thx for the help

i would tell you to go ahead and get you a pair of Mackie 6 from American Musical ...... then you can make payments on them and you would have quality monitors........the money you have left over you can buy you some quality cables......that is my suggestion

i also look for monitors... what u say, for hip hop production, what's better E-Mu PM5 VS. KRK RP6 or KRK V4 series 2 ???
