Mixing Suggestions.. anyone?

Ok, ive been trying something new, and i heard someone say you can mix a track or so, in Cubase and maybe FL. But i wasnt to sure about FL, So now im trying cubase, anyone bust me off with some tips?

um.. use the f3 to bring up the mixer.. and make sure you add effects and things in the inserts windows, and not directly to audio files, so you can do it nondestructively.

no im talking about importing one track into the program, and then using vst's to mix.

one track? so you are going to be using cubase to make your final recording sound better? why not multitrack the project into cubase? youd have way more flexibility...

Working on one track is more like mastering than mixing...
you should look into gett Har-Bal too, from Har-bal.com. nice little program for mastering your final mix, theres actually a whole thread about it on this forum.
