you gotcha priorities straight, if you aint 100% say into music and if you were there is balance, I mean I remember being in school from 6-12th grade and music was a class and band practice, festivals and performances etc...but you still had to juggle your studies and graduating from HS on top of that so thats real if you just producing on your own and thinking this is a real occupation you better snap out of it, not saying you cant but school right now is probably the most important even if you make it being educated in the biz will get you further like anything else....with a "plan a", music can be a "plan a "but most folks I know who are VERY, Very gifted in it, still have the day job first, the ones that dont are struggling...even with major placements, they always looking for a new one and what I think is HOT they produced has been shot down in meetings, making me shake my head.........stay focused and hope to see you back, get you a laptop and load it up with some program and just make some concepts in your spare time is all I can tell you, use the evenings for studies....check out my friend heather on vipradio, she is one of the most gifted pianists and renowned in DC area...buuuut you know how I met her? she is cut from the same vein almost like classic, imma network engineer as my day job and she is a programmer, I did some projects and she gigs all over DC but just back to the original....get thru school and stay focused......balance but at the same time maybe you will get a big break in the music.....good luck
