Why not use recycle then?
Also don't misunderstand, I am not saying it should not be added. I just don't see how this makes the Maschine bad or unusable? SP's don't have time stretch, early MPC's don't either.
Never said it wasn't bad or unusable.
But a lot of people went from FL Studio to Maschine (including myself). We were able to time stretch a sample in 2 seconds if it was needed.
For example...
I chopped this ILL loop. Thing about it is, there's some variations in the length in the bars (and I went deep into the waveform to ensure the most precise chop possible). After chopping it, I find that it is off in terms of the actual length...it's not a huge difference but enough to cause an issue when locking into a particular tempo. Now a timestretch function can correct those lil anomalies and increase the speed of your workflow.
Yes I could use recycle. I could even use FL Studio...But if I'm going to do that....I might as well make the beat in FL Studio.......then why did I buy Maschine (well I kinda didn't buy it) if I'm going to just go back to FL to make beats?
I understand the 1200 and the MPC didn't have timestretch...and that's fine, those were more hardware than software....The Maschine is more software, since it is based on a software program on your computer, controlled with a unique MPCesque controller.
At the end of the day, I will find a way to make this work for me, just like I did with FL....
